Welcome
Welcome

I enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 26 with zero college experience. Within the first year, I lived on all four sides of the US from Chicago to Pensacola, then Oceana, Virginia before finally settling in at my first duty station in Oak Harbor, Washington. While there I was deployed on two separate aircraft carriers:  USS Lincoln and USS Nimitz. I saw ports like Thailand, Bahrain, Dubai, Hong Kong, Italy, Turkey, and Hawaii. Some of those ports were hit two or three times.

In 2014, I was transferred to Millington, TN and with the encouragement of my chain of command, I enrolled in college at Park University and started my Associates in January 2015. By Summer 2016, I completed by Associates of Science and began on my next degree.

In 2017, I was transferred to the USS Reagan, homeported in Yokosuka, Japan. During our travels, we hit ports in Australia, Guam, Philippines, Hong Kong, Busan, and Jeju.

In May 2019,  I finally came home to Kansas City, Missouri and hung up my combat boots on the last time on September 2nd, 2019. By October, my Bachelors in Financial Management was completed and graduated summa cum laude in December.

Over the next year, I doubled up on my classes to persue my Masters in Business Administration while maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Now that I've met one of my goals by completing a Masters degree, it's time to fulfill a dream. Even with all my travels throughout Asia, my dream has been to travel more of Europe. Which is why my heart is now set on joining the Norwegian Jade throughout Northern Europe. During this cruise, we will see ports in Amsterdam, Dublin and Cork in Ireland, Paris, Brussels, London and Liverpool. I've literally cruised around the world, but this will be my first time cruising where I won't be expected to do any work. And with your encouragement and precious gift, I've met one of my educational goals and will be able to mark off multiple countries from my bucket list!

You may be thinking that with the completino of my MBA, that my education is complete, but that simply is not the case. As a matter of fact, by the time I graduated with my MBA, I was already working toward myt Masters in Healthcare Administration. The goal of completion for my MHA is December 2021.
